K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, on the 21st of April, underwent a series of tests at Yashoda Hospital in Hyderabad, Telangana.
Mr. Chandrashekar Rao’s CT scan and other general medical tests came days after he tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19. On the 19th of April, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) President KCR tested positive for COVID-19. He was diagnosed with the infection having mild symptoms and was isolated at his farm house at Erravalli, 70 km away from Hyderabad.
The tests of the Telangana Chief Minister were conducted under the supervision of the Chief Minister’s personal physician Dr. M.V. Rao and in the presence of Telangana Minister K.T. Rama Rao and the Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament (MP) J. Santosh Kumar. According to the doctors, KCR’s condition is stable and he will recover in a short time.
The Yashoda Hospital and the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) released an official statement regarding the same. According to the CMO statement, “Doctors said that the Chief Minister’s lungs are normal and there is no infection in them. Some blood samples were collected for routine tests. The results of the blood tests will be known on Thursday (the 22nd of April.) The results of the conducted blood tests of KCR are yet to come.
KCR is back at his farm house and is currently under home isolation with mild symptoms.
