On the 10th of August, India reported the lowest number of new cases of the Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the past 4 months.
On the morning of the 10th of August, Tuesday, India reported 28,204 new cases of the Wuhan virus. In addition to the new cases, the nation registered 41,511 recoveries and 373 new deaths in the past 24 hours.
Of the new cases, the maximum number of cases were reported from the southern region of India, except Maharashtra, which reported 4,505 new cases.
In the past 24 hours, Kerala reported 13,049 cases today. In addition, Tamil Nadu with 1,929 Covid cases, Andhra Pradesh (1,413), Karnataka (1,186) are other southern states with high number of cases.
In the South Indian region, Telangana is the only State with 453 cases, below 1,000 cases of the Wuhah virus.
In addition, big states like Rajasthan (13 Covid cases), Gujarat (19,) Madhya Pradesh (10) and Bihar (43) reported COVID-19 cases in two digits with zero deaths in the past 24 hours.
The new COVID-19 figures were confirmed by the Union Health Ministry today morning, whereas the updated data is available on the official website of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW.) It is to be noted, compared to the cases during the second wave of COVID-19, in between April-June, India reported a fall of the Novel Coronavirus cases.
Initiatially, India’s single day cases were more than 40,000 with 500 deaths. However, after a number of lockdowns in major regions of India and precautionary measures, the single day cases are now below 30,000.
With this, currently India has 3,19,98,158 positive cases, of which 3,11,80,968 are recovered/discharged cases, 3,88,508 are active cases and 4,28,682 are deceased cases.
Of the total cases,1.21 % are active cases, 97.45 % are recovered case rate and 1.41 % fatality rate.
The new cases were confirmed after conducting 15,11,312 sample tests for COVID-19. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 48,32,78,545 samples have been tested for COVID-19, including 15.11lakh tests, conducted in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, so far a total of 51,45,00,268 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in India. Of the total doses administered, 54,91,647 doses were given in the last 24 hours across the nation.
