The Telangana Medical department, on the night of the 17th of August, released a media bulletin regarding the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases.
According to the Telangana Health Department’s bulletin, after reporting cases below 1,000 for two days, Telangana’s new cases crossed 1,500.
The Telangana Health Department confirmed 1,682 new cases of COVID-19 with 8 fatalities and 2,070 recovery.
Of the total 1,682 new cases, 18 were from Adilabad, 27 from Bhadradri, 235 from areas under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation ( GHMC.)
Other places include 59 from Jagtial, 32 from Jangaon, 19 from Bhupalpally, 69 from Gadwal, 44 from Kamareddy, 88 from Karimnagar, 45 from Khammam, nine from Komarambheem Asifabad, 32 from Mahabubnagar, 13 from Mahabubabad, 79 from Mancherial, 36 from Medak, 106 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 17 Mulugu, 30 from Nagarkurnool, 38 from Nalgonda, 11 from Narayanpet, 27 from Nirmal, 94 from Nizamabad, 59 from Peddapalli, 47 from Siricilla, 166 from Rangareddy, 18 from Sangareddy, 47 from Siddipet, 39 from Suryapet, seven from Vikarabad, 23 from Wanaparthy, 20 from Warangal Rural, 107 from Warangal Urban and 21 positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
With these updates, Telangana has 93,937 positive cases, of which 21,024 are active cases, 72,202 are recovered/discharged cases and 711 deceased.
Out of the 21,024 patients, 14,140 patients are under home isolation and 6,884 are in institutional care.
Meanwhile, the Telangana Health authorities conducted 19,579 tests till the night of the 17th of August. Of the total tests, COVID-19 results of 560 samples are pending.
So far 7,72,928 samples have been tested for the Novel Coronavirus infection in Telangana.
With the everyday spike in the Novel Coronavirus cases, the recovery rate in Telangana is now 76.86% from the previous 76.01 %.
In addition, mortality rate is 0.75 % from the previous 0.76%.
The growth rate of the COVID-19 infection is 2% from the previous 2.50 %.
