On Monday, the 13th of December, Telangana reported 190 new cases of the Wuhan virus (COVID-19.) Besides the new cases, the State witnessed one death and 198 recoveries. In the past few days, Telangana COVID-19 cases are rising whereas recoveries are decreasing.
The new cases were confirmed by conducting 38,187 sample tests for the COVID-19 infection, of which results of 5,336 samples are awaited. With the tests conducted in the past 24 hours, the State Health Department conducted 2.90 crores (2,90,56,235) of the Wuhan virus tests till date.
The aforementioned data was confirmed through a health bulletin, released by the Telangana Health Department, on a regular basis. The media bulletin of the State Health Department which is being released in the evenings regularly, updates about the COVID-19 situation in Telangana.
According to the COVID-19 data, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is the only area, which reports the highest number of cases. Yesterday the GHMC limit reported 70 new COVID-19 cases. Of the total 33 districts, the majority of regions reported cases below 10 whereas, few regions reported zero cases.
With this, Telangana now has 6,78,478 positive cases, of which 3,837 are active cases, 6,70,633 are recovered/discharged cases and 4,0008 are deceased.
The recovery rate of Telangana is at 98.84% and the fatality rate of the Wuhan virus is at 0.59%.
