The Telangana Health Department under the leadership of Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, crossed a milestone and vaccinated 2.5 crore people.
Till the 1st of October 10:00 A.M., 2.5 crore individuals are given their first dose of the Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine.
According to the Telangana Health Department, a total of 2,50,32,757 people are vaccinated with a single dose, which makes 87 % of the population to be vaccinated with a single dose. With this, Telangana is likely to achieve 100 % vaccination target by the end of October. With this, each and every citizen would be vaccinated with at least a single dose.
In addition, of the 2.50 crore individuals, a total of 1,81,95,430 have received the first dose while 68,37,327 individuals completed their vaccine schedule.
Briefing about the age of those who have been administered the doses, 1,01,03,812 persons of the 18-44 age group have received the first dose while 26,78,710 received both doses. Overall, 1,27,82,522 have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine in this age group. In addition, a total of 1,11,59,142 eligible persons above 45 years have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine of which 74, 678,38 have received the first dose while 36,91,304 have received both the doses of vaccine against the deadly virus.
If the State Government continues the mega vaccination drive, it is likely to vaccinate the entire population of Telangana by the end of the year.
