The Telangana Health Department on the night of the 2nd of November, released a media bulletin, updating about the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
According to the released bulletin, the State recorded 1,536 new Coronavirus positive cases.
Of the total, 1,536 new cases, 281 were from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) 123 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 97 from Khammam, 96 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 92 from Rangareddy, 81 from Nalgonda, 76 from Karimnagar, 49 from Warangal Urban, 47 from Suryapet and 38 from Kamareddy.
The remaining cases were 37 each from Mancherial and Jagtial, 32 each from Wanaparthy, Nagarkurnool and Nizamabad, 31 from Yadadri Bhongir, 30 from Siddipet, 26 from Mulugu, 24 from Mahabubabad, 23 from Warangal Rural, 22 each from Nirmal, Vikarabad and Mahabubnagar, 21 each from Medak and Sangareddy, 19 from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, 18 from Jangaon, 8 each from Gadwal and Narayanpet, 7 from Komarambheem Asifabad.
Besides 1,536 cases, the State recorded 3 deaths and 1,351 recovered/discharged cases.
With these updates, Telangana has until 2,42,506 positive cases, of which 2,23,413 are recovered/discharged cases, 17,742 active cases and 1,351 deceased.
Of the total active cases, 14,915 are in home isolation and the remaining are in Institutional care.
Meanwhile, between the 1st and the 2nd of November, the Telangana Health Department conducted as many as 45,021 sample tests for COVID-19 infection. Of the total 19,809 were primary contacts and 14,915 secondary contacts and results of 617 samples are awaited.
Till date, the Telangana Health Department conducted a total of 43.94 lakh tests.
In addition, Telangan’s recovery rate from the Coronavirus is at 92.12 % and fatality rate at 0.55 %.
