On the 5th of December, the Telangana Health Department reported 596 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 positive cases.
Of the total new cases, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) reported the highest number, 102 cases, followed by Medchal district with 47 cases and Rangareddy district with 46 cases.
According to the released media bulletin, the State reported 921 recoveries and 3 deaths.
With the aforementioned numbers, the State has 2,72,719 positive cases, 8,498 positive cases, 2,61,028 recoveries/discharged cases and 1,470 deceased.
Telangana recovery rate further up to 96.34 % and fatality rate is at 0.54 %.
According to the media bulletin released on Saturday, the State Health Department conducted as many as 59,471 samples.
