The JanaSena Chief K. Pawan Kalyan demanded the Andhra Pradesh state Government, immediately to release financial assistance of Rs. 10,000 to the cyclone affected farmers across the State.

Mr. Pawan Kalyan addressed the media at a hotel on the 5th of December, and said Rs. 35,000 should be supported to the farmers who lost their crops in more than 17 lakh acres.

Mr. Pawan said that the State Government which promised total prohibition of liquor in the state had finally introduced its own liquor brands and suggested to divert the revenue of Rs. 16,000 Crores for the welfare of the farmers at least a year for their well being. He said JanaSena cadres are staging protests on the 7th of December, supporting the cause of farmers.

Mr. Pawan further satirically said that the state government had sponsored various liquor brands like President’s Medal, Golden Andhra and suggested to launch YCP special, CM Medal and others for promoting their party image diverting the revenue to the agriculture sector.

Pawan Kalyan said they had thought the state would be happy with 151 legislators from the YSRCP where they transform the state as the Golden Andhra, but the ruling Government had simply introduced a liquor brand. He further said they are for the farmers and would raise their issues continuously.

Pawan Kalyan asked the State Government to extend financial assistance to the farmers whose lands have faced erosion due to flash floods under various river belts.

Party leaders Nadendla Manohar, Satya, Sivasankar, Manukranth Reddy, Vinod Reddy and others were present.
