On Tuesday, the 26th of October, Telangana reported 190 new cases with one death and 111 recoveries. The new cases were confirmed by conducting 41,388 sample tests for the COVID-19 infection.
On Tuesday, the State Health Department conducted more than 40,000 tests for COVID-19. In the past two days, the Telangana Health Department conducted below 40,000 tests for COVID-19.
With the tests conducted in the past 24 hours, the State Health Department crossed 2.74 crore COVID-19 tests till date.
The aforementioned data was confirmed through a health bulletin, released by the Telangana Health Department, on a regular basis. The media bulletin of the State Health Department which is being released in the evenings regularly, updates about the COVID-19 situation in Telangana.
According to the COVID-19 data, despite the low number of cases, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) region reported 68 cases, the highest number of the Wuhan virus cases. Of all the districts, the GHMC limit is the only region with more than 50 new Wuhan virus cases.
With this, Telangana now has 6,70,643 positive cases, of which 4,101 are active cases, 6,62,592 are recovered/discharged cases and 3,950 are deceased. After reporting below 4,000 active cases in the past one week, the State again witnessed a surge taking the active cases of COVID-19 above 4,000 cases.
The recovery rate of Telangana also fell to 98.79 % from the previous 98.81 %. However, the fatality rate of COVID-19 remained constant for the past four and half months at 0.58 %.
