Mumbai: Here is an exciting news for both cricket and cinema lovers. Bollywood mega star Amitabh Bachchan is gearing up to sing the National Anthem before the nail-biting India-Pakistan world T20 cricket match on March 19 at the Eden Gardens.
Earlier, speculation was rife that the Big B will sing the National Anthem but the actor himself confirmed the news by retweeting a post on his official Twitter handle. Reports added that the President Sourav Ganguly was involved in it and made his effort for the same.
On the other hand, singer Shafaqat Amanat Ali will sing the National Anthem of Pakistan. Earlier, the 73-year-old actor sang the anthem for Republic Day in 2015 in a special music video and last year, he also sang it at the opening ceremony of the Pro Kabaddi league tournament.
