Mumbai: Actress Anushka Sharma says it was an honest mistake while paying tributes to the former president Dr APJ Abdul Kalam on micro-blogging site Twitter. Anushka faced severe criticism on social media after she misspelled the name of APJ Abdul Kalam while paying Twitter condolences to him.
At an event on Wednesday, she called it an honest mistake and said that her intentions were not bad and it was a human error. She added that humans do make mistakes.
On Monday, Anushka Sharma while expressing her grief over the demise of Abdul Kalam wrongly spelt his name. Not just once, Anushka committed the mistake twice. At first she typed “ABJ Abdul Kalam Azad” and then called him “APJ Abdul Kalam Azad”. Then, finally she corrected it. Anushka deleted the tweet but failed to escape from the scrutiny of Twitteratti.
The actress was trolled on social media for committing mistakes on Twitter. However, she explained it as an honest mistake.
