A fire broke out at a temporary set linked to Ramayana in Mumbai’s Film City on Monday, October 5. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles.
Thick smoke was seen rising from the shooting area, and videos of the incident quickly spread on social media. The Mumbai Fire Brigade reached the spot and brought the fire under control.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The damage was also said to be minor. The fire started in a tent outside Prime Focus Studios, where Ramayana is being filmed.
The incident also affected other shoots taking place in the area. Shooting was later able to resume after the situation was brought under control.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is being made as a two-part film. Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Ram, while Sai Pallavi plays Sita and Yash plays Ravana. The first part is scheduled to release in November 2026.
