Hyderabad: BJP National President JP Nadda has directed party workers in Telangana to meet the membership registration target of 50 lakh within the next 15 days. Addressing the party’s membership registration program at Harita Plaza in Begumpet, Nadda emphasized the importance of growing the party’s base to strengthen its political influence in the state.
Arriving in Begumpet from Patna by special flight, Nadda met with key party leaders, including MPs, MLAs, and other candidates, to assess the progress of the ongoing membership drive. The BJP President reminded party officials that the state had delivered 77 lakh votes and 8 MP seats during the previous Lok Sabha elections, suggesting that achieving 50 lakh memberships should be an attainable goal.
Nadda encouraged the party to exceed the membership target, stressing that those who register the highest memberships will be considered for key posts. He also urged the party ranks to focus on local issues, which could resonate with the electorate and strengthen the party’s position in the upcoming elections.
During the meeting, Nadda reportedly discussed the current political landscape in Telangana and identified areas where the BJP could reinforce its presence. His visit is part of a nationwide tour aimed at boosting BJP membership across the country, with a special focus on regions like Telangana, where the party seeks to expand its influence.
