Hyderabad: The state government has approved a major development project to enhance six key junctions surrounding KBR Park in Hyderabad. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has sanctioned Rs. 826 crores for this initiative, aimed at improving traffic flow and urban infrastructure in the area.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recently released mockup videos showcasing the planned upgrades, which will be executed as part of the Hyderabad City Integrated Traffic Infrastructure (HCITI) project. The junction developments will be carried out in two phases.
In the first package, Jubilee Hills Check Post Junction and KBR Entrance Junction will receive Rs. 421 crores for their development. These junctions are critical points for traffic management in the upscale Jubilee Hills area, which experiences heavy congestion.
The second package, with a budget of Rs. 405 crores, will focus on upgrading four additional junctions: Road No. 45 Junction, Film Nagar Junction, Maharaja Agrasen Junction, and Cancer Hospital Junction. These improvements are expected to streamline traffic and provide better connectivity to important locations in the city.
The project is part of the state’s broader efforts to modernize Hyderabad’s infrastructure and address its growing urban challenges.
