Mumbai: Sonam Kapoor starrer “Neerja” emerged as a winner at the box office. The film managed to earn Rs 35.32 crore at the ticket windows. Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and shared the box office report. On his Twitter handle. he wrote, ” #Neerja Fri 4.70 cr, Sat 7.60 cr, Sun 9.71 cr, Mon 3.70 cr, Tue 3.41 cr, Wed 3.14 cr, Thu 3.06 cr. Total: ₹ 35.32 cr. India biz. REMARKABLE!”
He further added, “#Neerja emerges a WINNER. The ROCK-STEADY biz on weekdays clearly indicates that Weekend 2 will be SOLID as well.”
The Ram Madhvani directed “Neerja” is all about the national hero Neerja Bhanot, who saved the lives of 359 passengers on the flight Pan Am, which was hijacked by a group pf terrorists. The film opened in theatres on February 19 and is riding high at the box office with encouraging reviews.
