Mumbai: Sonam Kapoor starrer “Neerja” opened in theatres on February 19 and bagged good reviews from the audience and critics as well. The movie managed to collect Rs 4.70 crore on the first day at the box office. The film was released over 700 screens in India. With positive reviews, the film emerged as a winner at the ticket windows.
Directed by Ram Madhvani, “Neerja” revolves around the life story of late Neerja Bhanot, who was shot dead by the terrorists. The young flight attendant saved the lives of hundreds of passengers when the flight Pan Am was hijacked by terrorists but lost her own.
