After two back to back flops, Tollywood Superstar Mahesh Babu is back with a bang as his latest starrer “Srimanthudu” has approximately grossed over Rs.50 crore in the first two days of its worldwide release.
According to the trade analysts, the opening weekend numbers are expected between Rs.65 crore to Rs.75 crore. The exact numbers are awaited.
The film made a record breaking collection of Rs.31 crore on its first day. Due to the positive mouth talk, major jump in the collections was observed over the weekend. With no big releases in the next few days, the movie is expected to rake in 100 crore easily. The movie theaters all over the states are registering 95% occupancy forcing the producers and distributors to increase the number of screens.
Directed by Koratala Siva, the film features an ensemble cast of Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Rajendra Prasad, Sampath Raj, Sukanya and Harish Uthaman in important roles. The film is about about a multi-millionaire, who decides to adopt a village, and the challenges he faces in the process. As on Monday, the film has crossed the $2 million mark at the US box office.
