Davos: On the third day of his visit to Davos, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu emphasized the state’s potential to become a hub for global investments, especially in technology, green energy, and infrastructure. Meeting with top executives, he showcased Andhra Pradesh’s strategic advantages for businesses.
During discussions with Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian, Mr. Naidu proposed establishing a design center in Visakhapatnam for chip development and a manufacturing unit to support the server supply chain. Google Cloud, which has already set up two cloud regions in India, recently signed an MoU with Andhra Pradesh to establish a “Data City” in Visakhapatnam and explore Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications, fostering local skill development.
The Chief Minister also met Petronas CEO Muhammad Taufik to discuss investments of ₹13,000-₹15,000 crore in green hydrogen and ammonia plants in Kakinada, with further expansion opportunities in Mulapeta.
In talks with PepsiCo executives, Mr. Naidu proposed making Visakhapatnam a Global Delivery Center and Digital Hub while inviting PepsiCo to partner with the APCNF initiative and set up a Kurkure manufacturing unit in the state.
Andhra Pradesh’s proactive governance and investor-friendly policies continue to draw international attention as a center for innovation and economic growth.
