Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, has resumed its E-Cabinet meetings at the Secretariat. The meeting marks the return of the paperless e-cabinet system, first introduced by the TDP government between 2014-19, but later set aside by the YSRCP government. The coalition government recently revived the system, with all agenda items and notes provided to ministers online. The General Administration Department has conducted training for ministerial PAs on e-cabinet management, and ministers received brief training ahead of the meeting.
The Cabinet is set to discuss several crucial issues. One of the key topics on the agenda is the potential cancellation of the reverse tendering system introduced by the YSRCP government, with discussions expected on restoring the previous traditional tendering system. Additionally, the Cabinet may approve the election of Irrigation Associations and deliberate on increasing the capacity of the Polavaram Left Main Canal to 6,000 cusecs. Another significant point of discussion will be the vision document for “Vikasat Andhra Pradesh,” outlining the state’s future development plans.
