Amaravati: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has called upon state officials to formulate a detailed plan to achieve the ambitious goal of “one family, one entrepreneur.” During a high-level review meeting at his residence on Wednesday, he directed officials to conduct a comprehensive family-wise survey to ensure that welfare programs are tailored to each family’s specific needs.
Highlighting the importance of administrative reforms introduced since 1995, the Chief Minister stressed the need to leverage technology for poverty alleviation and social security. He emphasized that economic development should involve active participation from every family, ensuring equitable benefits across society.
Mr. Naidu suggested implementing more “People-Public-Private Partnership” (P-4) projects, similar to those used in Amaravati’s capital city development, where citizens voluntarily contributed land for the capital’s construction. He cited solar power initiatives like the PM Surya Ghar Scheme, which enables rooftop solar generation, as examples of successful citizen participation.
The Chief Minister also urged officials to collaborate with philanthropic organizations, including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Azim Premji Foundation, and Tata Foundation, to bolster poverty alleviation efforts. He encouraged engaging NRIs and corporate leaders to contribute to social welfare initiatives.
Expressing concern over Andhra Pradesh’s declining birth rates, Mr. Naidu underscored the urgency of addressing demographic challenges.
