Nizamabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed deep condolences over the demise of D. Srinivas (DS), emphasizing his significant contributions to the Congress party. CM Revanth Reddy visited Nizamabad to pay his respects to DS’s mortal remains and extended his heartfelt condolences to the grieving family. Speaking to the media thereafter, CM Revanth Reddy highlighted DS’s pivotal role in leading the PCC and steering the Congress to power in 2004 and 2009.
“DS’s passing is a profound loss for the Congress. His journey from a student leader to the PCC president reflects his dedication and commitment. Despite a period of separation from the party, DS earned the respect of Sonia Gandhi and remained devoted to Congress ideals,” CM Revanth Reddy remarked.
He further acknowledged DS’s wish to have the Congress flag draped over his mortal remains, a gesture that has been honored as per his wishes. CM Revanth Reddy assured ongoing support to DS’s family and indicated discussions for future commemorations in DS’s memory.
