Utnur:  Former Adilabad MP and BJP leader Ramesh Rathore (57) passed away after falling critically ill at his residence in Utnur. He was rushed to a private hospital in Adilabad district center by his family on Friday night due to a sudden drop in blood pressure. Despite efforts to stabilize his health, Rathore’s condition worsened on Saturday morning while en route to Hyderabad for advanced treatment, as recommended by doctors. He passed away around 12:20 pm near Ichoda.

Ramesh Rathore, hailing from Tadihatnur in Narnur mandal, Adilabad district, had a gradual rise in politics. Starting his political career with TDP in 1988, he won as a ZPTC member from Narnur in 1995 and later as an MLA from Khanapur in 1999. Rathore served as the Adilabad ZP Chairman in 2006 and subsequently represented Adilabad as an MP in 2009. Over the years, he switched political affiliations and contested various elections, including the recent assembly elections as a BJP candidate from Khanapur.

He is survived by his wife Suman Rathore, sons Ritesh and Rahul Rathore, and daughter Sonali Rathore. Tributes poured in from political figures including Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, expressing shock and offering condolences to Rathore’s family.
