Suryapet: Tumu Hanmantha Rao, a dedicated physical education teacher with 39 years of service across government schools in the joint Nalgonda district, retired from his position at Nutanakal ZP High School in Suryapet district on Saturday. Known for his impactful teaching, Rao has mentored numerous students who have excelled in various professions including police officers, municipal commissioners, and public representatives.

In a heartwarming gesture of respect and gratitude, about 200 former students gathered at Gundlasingaram function halls, located 3 km from Nutanakal school, to honor their beloved teacher. They personally pulled the vehicle carrying Hanmantha Rao and his wife Pushpalatha to the function hall using a rope, symbolizing their reverence and appreciation. The students then felicitated the couple, expressing their deep gratitude for Rao’s guidance and mentorship over the years.

Former students such as Hyderabad CCS Inspector Vasudev and LB Nagar Inspector Nagamallu credited Hanmantha Rao’s training for their success in securing police jobs, highlighting his profound impact on their lives and careers.
