Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has expressed unwavering faith in the Indian judiciary following a recent controversy involving his comments on the bail granted to Bharata MLC Kavitha in the Delhi liquor case.

The Supreme Court, particularly Justices BR Gavai and KV Viswanathan, voiced their displeasure over Reddy’s remarks, questioning the appropriateness of his comments as a Chief Minister. The bench raised concerns about whether judicial decisions were being influenced by political considerations.

In response to the Supreme Court’s reaction, CM Revanth Reddy took to the social media platform ‘X’ on Friday to clarify his stance. He emphasized that his remarks were not intended to question the judiciary’s integrity. “I express unconditional regret for any misunderstanding caused by my comments. I have immense respect and faith in the judiciary and its independence. I firmly believe in the Constitution and its values, and I will always consider the judiciary as supreme,” Revanth Reddy stated.

The Chief Minister’s response aims to address concerns raised by the Supreme Court and reinforce his commitment to upholding the values of the Indian judiciary.
