Hyderabad: Preliminary investigations reveal that the Janwada Farmhouse, located in the buffer zone of Bulkapur Nala and near Hyderabad, may be operating without proper permissions from the Revenue and Panchayat Raj departments. The farmhouse, which has been in operation for eight years, is under scrutiny for allegedly lacking required clearances.
Officials from the Chevella Revenue Division gathered information suggesting that the farmhouse, built under the jurisdiction of Mirzaguda Gram Panchayat, was initially flagged as an illegal construction by the Panchayat Secretary. Despite this, the farmhouse was assigned a house number (4-5) and assessed for taxes after a delay, with an annual tax of ₹11,000 being imposed.
The property owner, N. S. L. R. Prasadaraj, reportedly received notices but did not respond. The Gram Panchayat officials noted that the farmhouse covers an area of 362 yards and 3,200 square feet. Although tax was levied, officials were aware that the property might be monitored by other mechanisms.
On Thursday, officials from the revenue and irrigation departments conducted a survey in the Bulkapur Nala catchment area, using satellite images and village maps to confirm the farmhouse’s location within the buffer zone. The results of this survey will be submitted to the Ranga Reddy Collector for further review and action.
