Amaravati: Special Chief Secretary of the Revenue Department RP Sisodia stated that the recent fire at the sub-collectorate in Madanapalle, Annamayya district, appears to be a conspiracy. He ruled out the possibility of a short circuit and emphasized the need to interrogate the watchman regarding the burning of documents. Sisodia highlighted that firefighters responded within 15 minutes, finding broken windows and glass, and suggested that chemicals were likely used to start the fire.

He revealed that motor oil was brought to the office and that some false documents were present. Additionally, the Tehsildar reported forgery of signatures, and investigations uncovered irregularities in the handling of dotted lands. Remarkably, 14,000 acres of these lands were converted to freehold and allotted to private individuals.

In response, the government has suspended several officials. On Monday, RP Sisodia issued suspension orders for former RDO Murali, current RDO Hariprasad, and senior assistant Gautam, as part of the ongoing investigation into the incident.
