Amaravati: Revenue Minister Angani Sathyaprasad has alleged a conspiracy behind the recent Madanapalle sub-collector incident and emphasized the need for strict punishment for those involved. Addressing the media at the secretariat on Monday, he asserted that even influential figures like Peddireddy and Jaganaina would not be exempt from scrutiny if implicated.

Minister Sathyaprasad highlighted a significant review of lands previously allotted to private individuals, questioning the worth of the lands. He revealed that a secretary from the revenue department had spent three days in Madanapalle investigating the incident and submitted a report to the Chief Minister. This investigation led to widespread complaints about injustices in the area, resulting in the suspension of three officials.

The minister also announced plans for new QR code passbooks and a comprehensive study of assigned lands, including those under Section 22A and lands removed from the list. He criticized the massive land acquisitions during the YSRCP regime, alleging looting and misuse of public funds in the name of land surveys. Sathyaprasad called for resolving land survey issues in Gram sabhas, noting that 77 lakh border stones had been set up at a cost of Rs 15 crore.
