Narasapuram: A significant milestone has been achieved for the women artisans of West Godavari district with the Lace Park in Rustumbada, Narasapuram Mandal of West Godavari district securing the Geographical Indication (GI) tag.
Established in 2000 with the support of the Central Government, the Lace Park has been a hub for women engaged in lace weaving, catering to the demands of the fashion industry. The GI tag is expected to create more job opportunities for these skilled artisans.
