On Friday, a man from Kerala, mistakenly abandoned his four year old daughter leaving fellow passengers and railway officials in shock. According to the reports, he was traveling with his daughter on a train headed to Nagercoil.
The man who was in an inebriated condition, first missed the stop at Palakkad. After realizing he had missed his stop, he hurriedly got off the train at the next station and continued to his relative’s place. As a matter of fact, he forgot he had left his daughter behind.
His daughter was sleeping on the train and started to cry once she found her dad missing.
“We found a four year old girl alone in the train at Kottayam and handed her over to Childline,” an official said. He added according to information later received from Childline personnel, the girl had been reunited with her parents.
