On Monday, the commander of the Jaish e Mohammad militant group was gunned down. The incident occurred during an encounter between the terrorists and security forces in Ladoora area in Baramulla district of Kashmir.
The head of the JeM has been identified as Khalid who infiltrated Indian from Pakistan. It was reported he was active in the Sopore area in North Kashmir.
Khalid’s presence came to light in 2016 when the Indian Army busted a JeM module in Baramulla.
The security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation in Ladoora area after receiving information regarding the presence of the militants in the area.
During the brief encounter one Army soldier, Subedar Raj Kumar lost his life.
