Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh’s Education and IT Minister, Nara Lokesh, announced plans to elevate the state to the top position in India’s education sector. Speaking at the International Higher Education Fair (IHEF), organized by the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) and the state government, Lokesh urged young people to pursue entrepreneurship and focus on becoming job creators.

During the event, Lokesh inaugurated a driverless van, drone, and robot, symbolizing the state’s commitment to technological advancement. He encouraged students to leverage the latest technologies and take advantage of the AP Innovation Society’s support, which includes a dedicated ₹250 crore seed fund for startups.

Lokesh emphasized that Andhra Pradesh’s education system will prioritize moral values and meaningful outcomes. He shared his own journey, from his education at Stanford to his political career, to inspire youth toward resilience and success.

The event featured prominent educational leaders, including VIT Chancellor Dr. G. Viswanathan, who called for increased education budgets. Lokesh expressed gratitude to the attendees, including representatives from prestigious global institutions, and underscored the state’s dedication to fostering innovation and career readiness among its youth.
