Jammu: The troops of Pakistan violated the ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday. They opened fire with automatic weapons and Rocket Projectile Grenades on forward posts along LoC.
PRO Defence Lt Col Manish Mehta said that the Pakistan troops fired in Krishna Ghati sector at 5 am and the troops at the borderline did not retaliate.
He added that the firing continued till 12.30 am and there was no life of life or injury in the firing. On Monday, they restored to firing at around 6 am. However, a high degree of alert was maintained.
