Amaravati: Deputy Chief Minister and Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Pawan Kalyan’s impassioned call to rejuvenate the state’s Panchayat Raj system. Addressing employees at his camp office in Vijayawada on Tuesday, Kalyan expressed his commitment to revitalizing the department and urged employees to contribute ideas for its transformation.
Kalyan emphasized the need for revolutionary changes, citing neglect by previous administrations and insufficient funding from central schemes like the Jaljeevan Mission. He highlighted pending funds of Rs. 1,600 crore owed to the state, crucial for rural development initiatives.
Acknowledging the vital role of government employees, Kalyan assured them of his respect and understanding, noting his personal connection as the son of a government employee. He underscored the importance of collaborative efforts to restore and enhance the Panchayat Raj system, aiming to make Andhra Pradesh a beacon of successful rural governance for the entire country.
