Amaravati: Kuppam has witnessed a significant political shift as 15 MPTCs and five councilors from YSRCP joined the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). Under the leadership of MLC Kancharla Srikanth, these local public representatives gathered in Amaravati and were welcomed by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who presented them with yellow scarves symbolizing their new party allegiance.
The representatives cited the development work led by Chandrababu Naidu as the primary reason for their departure from YSRCP. They expressed dissatisfaction with YSRCP’s failure to fulfill its development promises and highlighted the progress made in just a month and a half under Naidu’s leadership. They emphasized that the development of Kuppam is only possible under Chandrababu’s guidance.
MLC Srikanth revealed that more YSRCP leaders from Kuppam constituency are expected to join TDP soon. He criticized the alleged mismanagement and anarchy in Kuppam over the past five years and praised Naidu for swiftly allocating funds for the constituency’s development within 40 days of the coalition government’s formation.
