Hyderabad: Actress Renu Desai has fulfilled a long-standing dream by launching an NGO, Shri Adhya Animal Shelter, dedicated to the care and protection of animals. The actress shared her excitement on Saturday, noting that she has always aspired to protect mute creatures.
Desai’s latest step includes the purchase of an ambulance for the shelter, supported by Upasana Konidela, wife of actor Ram Charan. Upasana’s pet dog, Raimi, made a donation towards the ambulance purchase, which Desai gratefully acknowledged on her Instagram, tagging Upasana. The gesture has gone viral, earning appreciation from fans for Upasana’s goodwill.
With a deep love for animals, Desai has often encouraged others to aid in animal welfare. She named her NGO after her daughter, Adhya, and shared, “Since childhood, I wanted to protect mute creatures. During COVID, I felt the need to do something more, and today, my dream has finally come true.”
The Ram Charan-Upasana duo are also known for their love of animals, particularly dogs and horses.
