Hyderabad: Famed choreographer Jani Master shared a heartfelt message on social media following his release from Chanchalguda Jail, where he was held for 37 days. In an emotional video, he captured his family’s reaction upon his return, expressing the pain of being separated from them. “I am here today because of the prayers of my family and well-wishers,” he said. “The truth will come out one day. My family’s hardships will always haunt me.”
Jani Master was arrested on September 19 in Goa following a complaint filed by an assistant dance director and was subsequently transferred to Chanchalguda Jail. He initially sought bail from the Ranga Reddy POCSO court, but it was denied. On Thursday, he was granted bail on a fresh petition, and he was released on Friday evening.
Amid his legal battle, the awards committee recently announced the suspension of Jani Master’s national award nomination due to the ongoing case under the POCSO Act.
