Hyderabad: Telangana chief minister electee Anumula Revanth Reddy received a grand welcome at Begumpet airport on Wednesday night on his arrival from Delhi.
Chief secretary Santi Kumari, DGP Ravi Gupta, commissioner or police Sandeep Sandilya were among the higher officials who welcomed Revanth Reddy at Airport. Officials explained to Revanth about the arrangements made for swearing in ceremony at LB Stadium. Revanth asked officials to ensure that people who come to see the ceremony will not face inconvenience.
Shabbir Ali, Balaram Nayak, Sudarshan Reddy accompanied Revanth Reddy in a special flight from Delhi. Thousands of people gathered outside the airport to welcome CM Revanth Reddy.
Revanth went to Delhi on Tuesday after he was officially named as leader of Congress Legislative Party (CLP) by All India Congress Committee (AICC). Revanth thanked Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge for choosing him as CM of Telangana.
Revanth also discussed the constitution of the state cabinet. The first list of ministers is likely to be released at 10 am on Thursday December 7, 2023.
