On Thursday morning, a car owned by a Shiv Sena leader ran over three girls killing two of them. The incident took place at Baramati Morgaon Road in Maharashtra while the girls were walking to school.
News channels have reported that the car belonged to Shiv Sena’s Baramati Chief Pappu Mane. It has also been reported that it is unclear if Mane was in the car when the accident happened and fled the spot.
Another news channel has reported that since Mane has absconded he was most likely behind the wheel along with two other people but the truth is yet to be revealed.
The incident took place at around 7:40 A.M., when the 12 year old girl and 13 year old girl were walking to school. The locals in the area were enraged and burnt the Shiv Sena leader’s car.
A case has been registered by the police and a search team has been sent out to look for Mane.
