Singavaram: In an effort to inform the villagers about the early distribution of ‘NTR Bharosa Pensions,’ Sangana Chin Posaiah, the Sarpanch of Singavaram in Sitanagaram Mandal, East Godavari District, took to the streets on a bicycle, microphone in hand, to spread the word. Posaiah, a TEDPA leader, announced that the pensions, originally scheduled for next month, will be distributed a day earlier on the 31st of this month.
Posaiah cycled through the village, urging all pension beneficiaries to stay home on Saturday to receive their payments. He noted that no one had stepped up to make this announcement, attributing it to the previous government’s depletion of panchayat funds in efforts to promote auto services. Taking matters into his own hands, Posaiah explained that his self-promotion was a necessary step to ensure that the people he serves as Sarpanch benefit from timely pension distribution.
