Delhi: The Supreme Court held a hearing on petitions regarding the alleged adulteration of the Tirumala Srivari Laddu, a sacred offering that holds deep religious significance for millions of devotees. During the proceedings, the petitioners argued that the issue affects the sentiments of crores of people who revere the Tirumala temple.
Representing the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), the lawyer presented records to the court, detailing the quantities of ghee used in June and July. He emphasized that the matter should not be politicized and questioned the claims of ghee adulteration.
The lawyer further challenged the accusations by asking for concrete evidence that adulterated ghee was used in the Srivari Laddu. He criticized the remarks made by the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, stating that such statements should not have been made without a thorough investigation or a second opinion.
The case has attracted significant attention, as it involves not only legal aspects but also religious and emotional concerns of devotees across the country.
