A horrifying video of a father brutally thrashing his son has surfaced on the internet. The video shows the father beating up his 10 year old son for lying. The father is first seen whipping the child with a phone charger and then picks him up and slams him on the bed.
The man is seen yelling, “Will you lie?” as the child wails for mercy but the father does not pay any heed. The man has been identified by the authorities as Mahendra from Bengaluru. The incident took place nearly three months ago and surfaced only today. The video was recorded by none other than the boy’s mother, Shilpa. The phone with the video was given for repairs and the man handling the phone found the video and immediately informed the Kengeri Police.
The video gets even more heart wrenching when Shilpa is heard instigating the father by telling him the boy lied about something else as well. The Kengeri Police reported, “Mahendra thrashed his son for skipping tuition and not completing his homework on time. The boy is said to have lied about these things. He told his wife Shilpa to record the video and show it to the boy the next time he lies.”
A few days ago Shilpa took her phone to a local mobile store to get repaired. She asked the shopkeeper to save her photos and videos in a separate folder before repairing it. A Police Official at the Kengeri Police Station said, “The man has seen this video and he informed us today. We have brought in the parents for questioning. The boy is fine now and has not sustained any injuries.”
Mahendra is a 32 year old based in Kengeri, Bengaluru. He is an employee at an IT consulting firm. The Kengeri Police arrested Mahendra after watching the video and informed the Child Protection Committee.
