Pakistan Violates Ceasefire Third Day In Row

On Friday, the Pakistani Army violated the Ceasefire for third consecutive day. They attacked the Indian posts along the LoC and also civilian areas with mortar shells. In Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir near the LoC, small and automatic weapons along with mortar bombs were used.

In June alone, the Pakistani Army violated ceasefire 23 times. Speaking about this, the defence spokesperson said, “The Pakistan Army initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing from small arms, automatic weapons and mortars from 0415 hours today on the Indian Army posts along the LoC in Bhimbher Gali (BG) sector.”

The Indian Army responded immediately to the firing. On Thursday, two jawans of the Indian Army were injured in the firing by the Pakistan troops. The Pakistani Army used automated arms and shelled mortars in civilian areas along the LoC in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
