A top transition team member on Monday said Donald Trump will not tolerate the double standards towards India by its immediate neighbors China and Pakistan. The US President-elect Trump said that he will take strict action on the hypocrisy that India is shown by its neighbors.
An Indian-origin member of the transition team, Shalabh Kumar, who is an advisory counselor and close to the incoming president, said Mr. Trump has made it clear to not tolerate such behavior that our Country faces. Also Manasvi Mamgai, Republican Hindu Coalition (RHC) Indian Ambassador issued a statement that Trump is the best President India will have for maintaining relations. She said, “I think that he is going to be the best President of US for India till date.” She also told the ANI, “He has shown the support for us. In (a) New Jersey event, he came back on the stage and said ‘I love Hindu I love India,’ he is very vocal about it.”

Recently Pakistani Press claimed that Pakistan President Nawaz Sharif has spoken to Donald Trump on the telephone and claimed that the President-elect praised showers on Pakistan and it’s President. Though the Pakistani press boasted about this conversation, the Trump transition team barely made any statement on this. The release by the transition team read, “President-elect Trump and the Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif spoke today and had a productive conversation about how the United States and Pakistan will have a strong working relationship in the future.”
China has at one time claimed that they have faced a lot of problems because of terrorism originating from Pakistan. But when India put forward a proposition in the UN to declare the Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar as an International Terrorist, Beijing blocked this proposition. Also, Pakistan in a New Year’s statement said they would want to solve problems amicably, with India. This came amidst the repeated terror attacks that happened in India by the Pakistani based terror organizations. It is this dual faced behavior to which Trump objects, and claims to take strict action against after becoming the President on January 20.
