On Friday, in Gurugram, a 23 year old boy, Ashish Kumar, the son of the Delhi Police Sub Inspector was arrested on charges of raping a widow and her 15 year old daughter repeatedly over the past three weeks. Further, he even blackmailed them to stay quiet and not to reveal anything to anyone by filming the acts. The police said they found 10 video clips on his cellphone which were shot inside the Gurgaon house where the 35 year old woman lived with her daughter and a 11 year old son. The woman lost her husband last year and works in a private firm. Her daughter is in class X.
Somehow, the woman gathered up the courage and filed a complaint against Ashish Kumar after he started targeting her daughter. The cops arrested Ashish Kumar when he was at that woman’s house.
Ashish Kumar lives in Amar Colony in Delhi’s Gokalpur area and he had started making frequent visits to that woman’s house after he chanced upon her at a market in Gurgaon’s Rajendra Park about 25 days ago, the police said.
The woman met Ashish in a market and unfortunately got into a conversation. She then revealed her address to him as she didn’t find him suspicious, after which the horror began, the police said.
Police said Kumar was booked under the sections 376 (rape,) 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC and sections 4 and 12 of the POCSO Act.
