Police found a packet of white powder (probably methamphetamine or MD) near the body of 27 year old model-actress, Kritika Chaudhary. The samples of the powder were sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for chemical analysis.
On June 12, Kritika’s body was found in a decomposed state in her residence at Shree Bhairavnath SRA Society in Andheri. The residents have informed the police after a foul smell emanated from Kritika’s flat which is on fifth floor. “Sub inspector Shrikant Jadhav and the team visited the spot and checked the house. The accused, after attacking the victim, had wrapped her head in a towel, while a blanket was placed on her after switching on the AC so that the body does not decompose fast,” said a senior police officer. The police recovered a blood stained brass knuckle punch from the spot which was used to attack her on the head.
The police also said they have been investigating and inquiring all the sources including watchmen, maids, close friends, neighbors and also the people who were in touch with her on WhatsApp.” “A man who used to work in the building was missing and was not even at his new job. We have sent a team to his Lucknow residence in Uttar Pradesh,” said a source.
The autopsy report of the victim shows injury to the head below the left side of the ear. Sources said that they suspect the murder could be a fallout of drug related issues.
