Vijayawada: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has detained Rajeev, son of former minister and YSRCP leader Jogi Ramesh, in connection with alleged irregularities in the Ambapuram Agrigold land deal. Authorities apprehended Rajeevna based on serious allegations linked to the transaction, with a total of nine individuals implicated in the case.
The case, originally registered by the CID, has now been taken up by the ACB under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including 420 (cheating), 409 (criminal breach of trust), 467 (forgery), 471 (using forged documents), and 120(b) (criminal conspiracy). Rajeev is listed as the primary accused (A1), with his uncle, Jogi Ramesh’s brother Venkateswara Rao, as the second accused (A2).
ACB officials conducted a search at Jogi Ramesh’s residence in Ibrahimpatnam before taking Rajeev into custody. He is currently being interrogated at the Gollapudi ACB office.
