Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to transition to paperless cabinet meetings, providing ministers with iPads to facilitate the process. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced this decision during a recent cabinet meeting, emphasizing that future sessions will be conducted electronically.
This move marks a continuation of Naidu’s earlier initiative in 2017 when he first introduced paperless cabinet meetings. Traditionally, the government prints around 40 sets of notes for each meeting, based on the agenda items. Moving forward, these notes will be distributed in soft copy format to ministers and relevant officials.
Government sources highlight that the shift to an e-cabinet will not only save on printing costs but also help control information leaks.
