Amaravati: Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD) P. Narayana announced that all developmental works in Amaravati will be completed within the next three years. Speaking after the 44th meeting of the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA), chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Narayana highlighted key decisions, including the completion of 1.18 lakh TIDCO houses by June 12 next year.

The Chief Minister approved ₹102 crore to revive incomplete TIDCO houses that became non-performing assets during the previous government. Of the 7,01,481 TIDCO housing units sanctioned between 2014 and 2019, 4,54,706 units have been grounded, Narayana said. The Centre contributes ₹1.9 lakh per unit, while the remaining cost is shared by the State and beneficiaries through bank loans.

CRDA also approved road works in Amaravati Zones 7 and 10, costing ₹2,723 crore. Total CRDA-approved works in Amaravati now amount to ₹47,288 crore, with additional tenders expected by January 15.

Narayana assured Amaravati’s development will meet global standards without burdening citizens, as funds will be mobilized by disposing of pooled land. He also emphasized equitable development across all 26 districts since the State’s bifurcation.
