Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh government has informed the Supreme Court that a false complaint was allegedly filed against the CBI investigating officer, former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy’s daughter Sunitha, and her husband Rajasekhara Reddy at the behest of YSRCP MP Avinash Reddy. The complaint was reportedly lodged to obstruct the CBI probe into Vivekananda Reddy’s murder case, protect the accused, and pressure investigating officials.
According to the government’s submission, CBI officer MV Krishna Reddy allegedly manipulated the investigation and created a misleading narrative to safeguard Avinash Reddy and other accused individuals. The affidavit states that retired Additional SP Rajeswara Reddy and ASI Ramakrishna Reddy misrepresented facts, influenced witnesses, and recorded false statements. CCTV footage from Pulivendula station and technical details reportedly expose these irregularities.
The state government has requested the Supreme Court to allow the final report by Pulivendula DSP Bukke Murali, which details the misuse of law enforcement to file false cases.
