Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh High Court rejected the bail plea of Borugadda Anil, a rowdy sheeter accused of making indecent posts on social media. The court remarked that such behavior cannot be excused and emphasized the gravity of his actions. The police informed the court of Anil’s criminal history, stating that charge sheets had been filed in two cases related to inappropriate posts on social media.

The Anantapur 4th Town Police had registered a case against Anil for his obscene online content. Despite his plea for bail, the High Court dismissed his petition on Thursday, reinforcing the seriousness of the charges.

During the YSRCP regime, Anil reportedly engaged in activities that instilled fear among the public and even law enforcement. Known for his close association with Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, he acted as the state president of the Republican Party of India, claiming to follow Union Minister Ramdas Athavale. Using his political connections, he frequently targeted opposition leaders, including Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, and Nara Lokesh, with derogatory remarks on social media and TV debates.

Anil also faced allegations of abusing women and using Chief Minister Jagan’s name to threaten and intimidate others. During the YSRCP’s rule, his actions reportedly went unchecked due to perceived political backing.
